The Never-Ending Fight Of Steven Featley; We Will Miss You And Your Annoying ‘Arteta Out’ Rants
“NO, NO, NO NO, NO!! I am not ARTETA IN!! F*CK Arteta!!” If you haven’t ever heard these words from the mouth of Steven Featley, you never knew the guy. And till the end of his days, he probably never admitted to openly being Arteta In. But you knew his heart was at the right place. And he wanted the best for Arsenal Football Club and he would never hate this young team.
An Arsenal team that gave him hope. That made him feel alive again. Made him want more and aim for something bigger, maybe even impossible. That too at a time, when he knew he didn’t have much of it left!!
And how he stayed strong amid it all, the pain and the fighting with the demons within himself, only he can answer. None of us could have done anything. Some of us would have long lost our minds. But he got through all of it, for a reason, for a cause!!
Steven Featley Was Fighting To Make A Difference; He Wanted Change!!
And as much as he could, Steven was trying his best to make a difference. After undergoing six Liver Transplants, he knew what it felt like to go through the pain and struggles. For that purpose, he wanted to fight against this. For each and every kid that ever had such a disease.
He was raising money through his YouTube channels for the Children’s Liver Disease Foundation. His aim was simple. Even if a single child could be helped or saved using the money, he wanted it done. It was just what his aim was, to have better.
Not just in life. But for Arsenal Football Club too!! He wanted the Gunners to be Champions again. Win domestic leagues, European trophies and more. A dream to relive the GOLDEN ERA that was one a reality under Arsene Wenger, that is what Steven Featley wanted!!
But sadly, in a season when Arsenal were on top of the league and going strong, he breathed his last. Life isn’t fair and we have to accept fate as it comes!!

Steven Featley Loved Arsenal And He Loved Life; Everyone Who Knew Him Is Sad!!
Steven was a grumpy little guy who would find something to smile and laugh about. Now, the grumpiness was his character on YouTube (to an extent) and the pain talking. In real life, off camera, he was a sweet and emotional guy. A person who wanted the world to accept him positively and believe in him.
He wanted everyone to know that he wanted to be remembered. And not just by a few of his friends. But by everyone, who knew him and saw his love for Arsenal and LIFE. He wanted to make a difference and though he could not possibly help everyone out, he did make a difference.
No one can forget that this little brother of ours, was born with a biliary atresia. He was from Stoke Ash in Suffolk and was fighting the disease since child birth. The bile ducts in his liver blocked up. This meant that the toxins couldn’t be removed or fats could not be digested.
Operations were done to try and correct this. But at the end of the day, most children need a transplant. His first transplant was from a brain-dead organ donor (a cadaveric). It was back in 1995, when he was 14 months old. Since then Professor Nigel Heaton had conducted three more (as per a 2014 article from the Guardian), which eventually jumped up to six.
It Was Just A Matter Of Time But We Hope He Is At A Better Place Now!!
He fought and fought hard till his very last day. I can literally feel his pain as I write this article’s end. There is no solution to KNOWING THAT HE IS GONE. Generally, people want more out of life for themselves. In the case of Steven Featley, there wouldn’t be a person who didn’t want more out of life for him!!
People called him a lot of names, a lot of terms. He was abused at times, hated on, called things he wasn’t and people didn’t believe in him. But glad that some people did and this article is for them. A reminder that you have a GIFT called LIFE, which some people like our brother Steven didn’t get more of!! USE IT WISELY!!
RIP my brother @SFeatley . I am sorry that the episode of KNOW YOUR YOUTUBER that I wanted to do with you never happened..And the worst part is the timing of your passing. I really wanted you to see #Arsenal win this league this season!! RIP Steven!! pic.twitter.com/vw0J1RswW5
